Overview
One Day of Giving Can Make a Difference for a LIfetime!
Everyone is invited to be a part of SF State’s inaugural Day of Giving – Gators Give Day – on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Gators Give Day is a 24-hour, campus-wide fundraising effort to support SF State students, programs and initiatives.
Gators Give Day enables all of us to fundraise for the Lam Family College of Business (LFCoB) in support of our students and programs, along with other causes throughout SF State. This type of community fundraising event helps us to:
- Reconnect with alumni by rallying supporters around our college, departments, other causes, and the University as a whole
- Take advantage of campus-wide matching gifts and donor challenges to amplify our impact
- Strengthen ties to our donors
- Increase our college’s visibility, which contributes to increased interest in our programs
- Build college pride among students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
This year, our college has set an ambitious $25,000 goal to support our Alumni-Student Mentorship Program, which equips LFCoB students with tools and skills for career success by pairing them with successful professionals for one-on-one mentoring and providing opportunities for students and alumni to expand their professional networks.
Our Accounting ($10,000 goal) and Decision Sciences ($5,000 goal) Departments are also fundraising for their respective departments so they can continue to provide outstanding academic and professional opportunities to students and faculty.
Various Business student organizations are also raising funds. You’ll find them listed in the “gift designation” list on the Donation Form on every SF State fundraising page.
How to Participate
Spread the Word and Encourage Others to Give Their Support
- Tell your family, friends, and colleagues who might be interested in supporting our students about Gators Give Day.
- Follow our college on social media and share our Gators Give Day posts with your friends/followers. Use the hashtag #GatorsGiveDay
- Share your own social media message with your network. Remember to include #GatorsGiveDay.
Make a gift to one of the LFCoB gift designations or another SFSU cause near and dear to your heart. Or better yet, consider offering a matching gift or donor challenge to boost your impact. Every dollar counts – no gift is too small to make a difference!
